PF3000 v2 to feature at the 2026 Napa Lighted Arts Festival

Friends we have some fantastic news – Filma Art Collective’s award winning interactive LED art piece the PF3000 will be included at the 2026 Napa Lighted Arts Festival. This is a 30 day outdoor lights festival taking place in January and February in the City of Napa. The PF3000 will be installed outside the Goodman Library for folks of all ages to discover, play, and create.

We have also embarked upon version 2 of the PF3000 as a longer term outdoor lights festival provides some new challenges for our art. Included in version 2 of the pf3000:

  • New capacitive touch interface — these are more robust sensors (256 of them in total) that meet the demands of both weather and larger crowds. We have these sensors installed already and they work absolutely fantastically. You’ll even be able to try them out at the Oakland Autumn Lights show if you’re around.
  • Waterproofing – Ain’t no rain gonna mess up the PF3000 now
  • Structural enhancements and a back weighted frame – with our new enhancements the PF3000 will withstand winter weather events with ease.

These enhancements have been a significant engineering effort so far. We are already done with the new sensors and will be moving onto water proofing and structural enhancements next. Expect more updates on these soon.
