Infinity Dream – Collab with Katie McClung

Well friends, I have a surprise for you. Ready for it? Surprise! Another art project! Though this time we’re doing things a little differently. Different how you ask? Well, this isn’t a pure in-house Filma Collective project, this is a collab.

Through the Autumn Lights network, we were put in touch with the fantastic Katie McClung. Katie had a project back in the day called Infinity Dream, and was looking forward to bringing it to a few events here in the bay this year. Thing is, Katie didn’t know that until it was too late, and her friends set the original piece on fire in a blaze of glory. And uh, I guess that’s where Filma Collective comes in.

Infinity Dream is an adult-sized coffin standing at about 6′ high. Within that coffin is a two-plane infinity mirror featuring custom LED animations. Look past your own existence, into Infinity Dream, and discover… everything.

We’ve been working with Katie over the last few weeks to reproduce this fantastic piece for the 2026 Autumn Lights show. We’re just about there too. I’ll share some work in progress photos with you all and you can look forward to the completed project in about a week.

You haven’t lived until you’ve cut an 8 foot piece of glass, let me tell you. See you next time, we are bringing it to autumn lights this year.
